The Baking Bird is a small gem of cupcake perfection in the heart of Truro that until recently we had never heard of. This was rectified when the owner Mark Govier called and asked if we could change the locks on his doors.
He needed a solution that was rated high security but also cost effective.
In the door already were euro cylinder mortice lock cases, so it was logical that we supply and fit high security euro cylinders again. This time, one of the cylinders had to have a thumbturn to allow keyless exit, in the event of an emergency whilst the other was still a standard key and key type.
Both cylinders were created to work from the same key which was an added bonus from the staffs’ point of view and as part of the high security feature the keys were restricted, which means that should anyone without Mr Goviers authority try to duplicate the keys, any reputable locksmith or key cutting establishment should refuse.
In addition to this feature, the cylinders are high quality and have various anti bypass features built into them such as anti-drill and anti-pick.
Sharon arrived with the new cylinders and 6 brand new serial numbered keys ready to install them. The job didn’t take long to complete, even though one of the old cylinders decided to be stubborn and refused to come out without a little patient persuasion. Once completed, it was time for a delicious Cappuccino and a cake.
The Baking Bird creates all their own wide range of cupcakes and treats. There is definitely something for everyone. To go with your cake they have various hot and cold drinks and then you can choose to either sit down stairs as we did or go up to the lounge and wallow on the comfortable sofas and wind down after a long days shopping.
This is a definite recommendation by Owl Locksmiths and security and when we are in Truro either after we have completed a job or just chilling out; you may also see us with our feet up and indulging ourselves on the stunning array of creations available.
