As a commercial locksmith in Cornwall, we plan, install and maintain commercial security and locksmith services for a number of business sectors including retail, recreational, hospitality and the education sector. They benefit from a fantastic service and value. We take pride in the knowledge that we are helping to maintain the safety and security of your property and stock, your team, and your guests. For independent guidance on designing security into business premises, see the police-backed security standards published by Secured by Design.
Whether you own a hotel or guest house, retail outlet, a pub, office, estate or lettings agency, farm or factory.
What we can offer:
- Emergency locksmith service including emergency entry, lock replacement or repair for doors and windows of all types, including UPVC door and window lock repair and wooden door locks.
- Upgrading of old business security devices. (Out of hours service subject to availability).
- New ownership or tenancy changes - lock change for general security and insurance policy compliance.
- High Court Warrant authorised gain entry and property re-secure. Non-Destructive where possible or Destructive entry if no alternative. We attend with the High Court enforcement officer and re-secure the property once possession has been taken.
- Master key systems and keyed alike locks: one key for many doors, planned in full and fitted in stages.
NOTE TO AGENCIES. Here in Cornwall it is mostly destructive entry means used as the high moisture and salt content renders a higher number of locks unsuitable for picking fairly quickly. If you require NON-Destructive entry only, then we may not be able to assist.

- Redruth School: a security screen fitted in the main office so pupils can hand in money and letters securely.
- A Truro pumping station: a seized lock opened so engineers could get in and prevent a sewage flood.
Commercial Locksmith FAQs
What does a commercial locksmith do?
A commercial locksmith fits, repairs and upgrades locks on business premises such as shops, offices, pubs, hotels, schools, farms and factories. The work includes changing locks when a business or tenant changes, planning and fitting master key systems, emergency entry and repairs after a break-in, and re-securing property after an authorised entry.
Can you change the locks when a tenant leaves or a business changes hands?
Yes. We change the locks or cylinders so that keys held by previous owners, tenants or staff no longer work. Many insurance policies expect this, and our insurance advice page explains what to check. We regularly work with estate and lettings agents on tenancy changes.
Do you carry out High Court warrant entry?
Yes, where the entry is authorised by a High Court warrant. We use non-destructive entry where possible. In Cornwall, moisture and salt in the air mean many locks cannot be picked, so entry is usually destructive. If you need non-destructive entry only, we may not be able to help. We re-secure the property once entry has been made.
Can you fit a master key system for our building?
Yes. A master key system lets each person carry one key that opens only the doors they need. We plan the whole system and can fit it in stages. See our page on master key systems and keyed alike locks.
Do you work outside business hours?
Out of hours work is subject to availability, so please call to check. Planned work, such as a lock upgrade across a whole property, can be arranged around your opening times.
Which businesses do you work with?
Retail, hospitality, recreational and education sector premises, offices, estate and lettings agencies, farms and factories across Cornwall. Clients have included Boots in Penzance, Watson-Marlow in Falmouth, Cormac and Heartlands.
