On the 16th February 2012, Cornwall Shop Fitters Limited are Cornwall’s premier specialists in designing, manufacturing and the fitting out of everything from shop interiors to hotels and pubs and clubs and most things in between recently called us for assistance. The multi point locking mechanism in there manufacturing unit in United Downs TR16 developed a fault and they were unable to secure the door. Unfortunately as usual it happened late on a Friday after noon so we did not have the opportunity to order parts.
We arrived, investigated the fault but the lock was beyond repair and would have to be replaced. We identified the parts required and in the meantime secured the door with a temporary lock so that the property was secure and could still be used. After checking the stock, we found that although it was not the most popular type we actually had one in stock, so with a quick call to Dave we arranged to go back over that night an fit the replacement. We found that the new version was slightly different in configuration and that the keeps had to be altered so we decided to get it fitted and working that night and to return the following morning and adjust it fully. The whole job from start to finished took around 3 hours and with no risk to the security of the building.
