Today has been a busy day for us. We had the day planned out with a couple of jobs booked in and then the phone started to ring. We have contracts with various agencies and associations’ etcetera and some of these required urgent attention …thanks to Devon and Cornwall Police.Unfortunately for our customers though, I did mean putting a couple of them off until tomorrow but all of the affected customers were very understanding.
Early this morning, Devon and Cornwall Police executed a number of drugs raids on various properties in the Hayle area and the aftermath was a number of doors, frames and the locks requiring attention.
One of the properties we attended required the frame to be screwed and the mortice lock to be replaced, luckily for the owners the lock was not an expensive type and therefore was a relatively easy and not too costly.
The other property was not quite as lucky as the frame was split and also the door around the lock posed a few issues. But after some woodwork, glue and screws the property was secure once again until a replacement can be ordered.
