Having a quality lock regardless of what type or fitted into what type of door is always of benefit whether financial or psychological.
For most people, their safety and possessions are of utmost importance and this should be reflected in the quality of the doors and the locks that are fitted in them. This was proven on the 7th August 2013 in Newlyn when we were called to carry out necessary repairs to a door and its multipoint lock that was damaged while preventing a break-in. The attempted break-in caused a lot of damage as you can see from the photos but the intruder never managed to gain entry.
We had to carry out minor repairs to the door and the frame and remove the actual lock as it was damaged beyond repair. The multipoint locking mechanism was replaced with the exact same model which was a great help as sometimes we have to alter the door and frame if the one removed is an obsolete model.
The frame had to be straightened and all the keeps that are fitted to the frame were changed as two of the old ones were damaged. The handles were changed together with a brand new euro cylinder (the part the key goes into) so the customer had a set of new keys as well.
Extensive investment testing and is undertaken by the various lock manufacturers and there are many variations to suit the majority of situations so if you feel that your locks are not of an adequate quality then call us and we undertake a full survey for free and no obligation.
