NATIONAL COMPANIES:- Why do YOU use them? I have come back from a ladies property in Knights Way, Redruth which was on behalf of a NATIONAL COMPANY. The job was effectively to replace a faulty multipoint lock in a Upvc patio French doors.
Keeping this brief, I quoted the national company a figure and then they contacted the customer whilst I was there and gave the customer their figure which was substantially more.
I appreciate that everyone has a living to earn, but do we need these big companies?
Big nationals means 1 thing: BIG prices. You will not get a better service as (the majority of the time) they only end up sending the local trader to do the work. It is extremely rare for a national company to employ its own local trades staff .
This is in all trades, not just locksmithing.
Therefore, phone around and don’t help to make these guys bigger and the local traders struggle even more. For the majority of local traders they are a constant thorn, unless your linked in to them via a service plan or insurance, my advice is stay well clear. STAY LOCAL.
