A first for Owl Locksmiths
Over the years Owl Locksmiths and Security have worked on many caravans and on most types, whether it is a mobile towed type or a larger static site caravan, we have worked on them all.
Recently however, we were asked to gain entry to a towed 5th wheel trailer type caravan where the owners had not attended the trailer for some time and had lost the keys. This was definitely a first for us with regard to the type of trailer but not a first gaining entry to a caravan and replacing the door lock.
The locks on these trailers are very similar in construction to any other mobile caravan and as such not that difficult to get into with the correct equipment. The main task was actually getting the correct door locks for the trailer and this took some hunting but after two days we found what we were looking for.
Once the locks arrived complete with a set of three keys, the fitting took less than an hour.
Our customer was offered the opportunity to have all the locks changed thus allowing them to be opened on the one key but to save money chose not to change more than the main entry / exit door.
